AUTHOR KIT

The Workshop will have invited papers sessions, contributed/special sessions and regular paper sessions. The instructions for formatting regular and invited papers are given below. The official language of the Workshop is English.

PAPER FORMAT

Papers, written in English, should adhere to the standard IEEE double-column format for conferences (templates). The first page of the paper, centered on the top below the top margin, should include the paper title, the authors' names and their affiliations, an abstract, and keywords. The paper length is four (4) pages. These 4 pages should include ALL the contents of the paper, including abstract, figures, references, etc. Papers in excess of 4 pages shall not be considered for review or publication.

The paper formatting instructions, provided by the IEEE Computer Society Press, are modified for A4 page size, and are available here both in a text file (instruct.txt) and in a Word file (instruct.doc). Please do not include page numbers. You can check the resulting PDF document page size by viewing it in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

MS Word users:
The Word template (instruct.doc) also serves as a sample of the paper layout. Please make sure that the paper size in Word is set to A4 and that the generated Postscript and PDF files are in A4 format. If you use any non-standard fonts make sure that the fonts are embedded in PDF file.

LaTeX users:
Please use styles-LaTeX.zip which contains all necessary LaTeX files. Note that both current versions of LaTeX, 2e and 2.09, have the same macros -- refer to the start of the latex8.sty file for the opening statement for each.

When converting from dvi to Postscript make sure that you convert your dvi file to Postscript format using the command:

dvips -P pdf -T A4

The option "-t A4" forces A4 paper size. The "-P pdf" option is required to generate correct Postcript file, which uses Type 1 scalable fonts instead of bitmapped fonts. This ensures that PDF files can be viewed both on the monitor screen and can be printed on paper.

The papers should be submitted in Portable Document Format (PDF), via Web upload only.
